What is the interview process like?
The number and length of interviews vary by position and may include a job assessment and job tryout. All positions require background checks and depending upon the position, additional background checks might be conducted.
Why do I have to provide my Social Security Number (SSN) /Social Insurance Number (SIN)?
If you are offered a contingent offer of employment, your SSN/SSI is needed to perform any required background checks applicable to the position (i.e. Motor Vehicle Report).
How can I apply for a position?
Once you have searched our current openings and have found a position for which you are interested in, please click the "Apply" button. You will be asked to create a username and password. You will then have the option to either complete our online application manually or to use our resume parser. The resume parser pulls information from your resume and populates the appropriate fields in our online application and may be used if you have a copy of your resume saved to the hard drive of the computer from which you are applying. If using the resume parser, please be sure to verify the fields in the online applications. Errors sometimes occur because of the many resume formats applicants use.
May I apply for more than one position?
Yes, once you have established a profile, your data is saved which means the process will be even easier if you apply to additional postings.
Is there a way that I can be alerted about new open positions in my area that match my skills and interests?
Yes! If you do not see a job that is perfect for your skill set currently posted, you can join our Talent Community to proactively receive information about specific job openings in your area that match your interests and skill set, along with a link to apply. How do I update or change my profile or application information?
Simply access your profile using your established username and password and make any necessary changes.
Can I submit my paper résumé or application for consideration?
We do not accept paper resumes or applications. Click here to see our open positions. Please note — in order to be considered for a position, you must apply directly to a requisition and not just complete a profile.
What happens after I apply for a job?
If your qualifications meet the requirements for the job, you may be contacted.
I am required to include at least one work experience? What do I do if I’ve never had a job before?
If you have never had a "traditional job", you can still apply and include experience such as an unpaid internship, babysitting, a newspaper route, etc. Although these may not be considered "traditional jobs", Cintas understands and appreciates the knowledge and work ethics gained by these experiences.
