Every month, your dedicated Cintas professional will be on-site to inspect your plumbed eyewash stations and emergency showers, providing you with a detailed service record.

  • Clear communication before and after each service
  • Scan of each station for an electronic service record
  • Service inspection is performed – routine or annual inspection
  • Cintas professional dates the service tag to verify service
  • Any station that does not pass the service inspection is noted on inspection summary

EYE AND SKIN WASH FLUSHING STATION

  • Holds Three 16 oz. Eye and Skin Wash Bottles
  • Bottles Buffered in Isotonic Solution
  • Classified as a Supplemental Eyewash Station

When Safety Data Sheets (SDS) indicate the need for emergency eyewash, a primary station is required. Reference Section 4 of any chemicals SDS to determine if you need an eyewash station.

ANSI recommendations are the standard commonly referred to by OSHA for eyewash stations and emergency showers. This standard requires routine checks including:

  • Measure eyewash spray height (33"-53" above surface) Measure water released from station (0.4 GPM for eyewash)
  • Test water temperature (60-100F)
  • Ensure station activates in one second or less and both nozzles remain open, hands-free
  • Ensure nozzles are covered, free of debris and open with water flow
  • Measure distance from showerhead to standing surface (82”-96" above surface)
  • Measure water released from showerhead (20 GPM)
  • Ensure stations are identified by a visible sign and pathway clear from obstruction
